River City Rods and Customs is owned by the Giddings' Family.  Throughout the years, we have owned several different hot rods.  Gregg tells a story of when he was a young boy and his father, Red, owned a 1957 Chevrolet Pickup.  He would have to help prepare for the shows by waxing and cleaning every square inch.  Now as a father of a young boy himself, he is teaching his own son to do the same.  In recent years, Red decided to build a 1932 Ford Phaeton.  As the car neared completion, Gregg soon caught the fever and purchased a 1956 Chevrolet  2 door post.  These were great cruisers but both of these men are "truck men".  They each ended up selling the cars and purchasing trucks.  These trucks, a 1956 Chevy stepside and a 1955 Chevy Cameo, were builders and were slowly transformed into what you see below.  The attention that their vehicles drew at various car shows and rod runs, prompted them to take in small projects and eventually some pretty extreme projects.  We now have 3 body men whose work is second to none.  Jody, Phil, and Kevin take their work very seriously and are extremely meticulous - paying close attention to every detail and making sure that before it leaves our shop that it is exactly what the customer is looking for.
